What’s new

The current version of Cellinker 2.0 has significantly expanded its dataset, now documents over 7400 human and 5800 mouse protein ligand-receptor (L-R) interactions from literatures and other 15 resources. Notably, Cellinker 2.0 goes beyond proteins, also including more than 790 human and 670 mouse metabolite L-R interactions. Additionally, the database has compiled information on over 1,900 enzymes and 260 transporters associated with these metabolites.

The database offers a user-friendly interface and a wealth of information, facilitating the browsing and presentation of L-R interactions. In addition to its existing webserver for analyzing intercellular communication based on protein L-R interactions, Cellinker 2.0 introduces a new webserver dedicated to the analysis of the metabolite L-R interaction based intercellular communication.

In summary, we believe that this database will be invaluable in accelerating cell-cell communication deciphering and promoting the development of related algorithms for scRNA-seq and spatial transcriptomes data, particularly those involved in predicting metabolite L-R interaction-based intercellular communication.
